Have U seen M.I.A.‘s stunt-filled music video for Bad Girls, which sends cars drifting up and down the Saudi Arabian desert? It’s pretty rad and if you liked that, we know you’ll like this! Check out an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at how M.I.A.’s team.

Ever since Friday afternoon, I have been transfixed on the report of Kony 2012 documentarian Jason Russell, the married father of two, who was detained by police for, according to various reports, allegedly vandalizing cars and masturbating in public while running naked through the streets of San Diego. What would cause a man who has dedicated years of his life toward helping injustice in Uganda to (for all intents and purposes)  lose his sh*t in broad daylight? Some speculate drugs, some speculate alcohol, some point towards the pressure of almost overnight notoriety for the snap. Russell’s Invisible Children camp has blamed exhaustion and dehydration; his wife Danica attributes the odd behavior to stress. My hypothesis? The overwhelming love of dance melted Jason Russell’s impulse control. My evidence? In 2006, the creators of Kony 2012 made a bizarre, wildly over-the-top dance-tastic music video for Invisible Children’s Global Night Commute. And it’s amazing. If you do one thing today, m’friends, WATCH THIS VIDEO! It is one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen (and I grew up in West Hollywood so that’s saying a lot). By

Marde Tanhaye Shab –  The new music video by Mohamad has been released exclusively on Radio Javan.  The video was directed by Solmaz Niki- Kermani of Mahtab Entertainment using original footage from her film To the Moon which she starred in and wrote. To the Moon was directed by Damian Harris.

Yeah, that’s right. Music videos have gotten to being SO EPIC, they need trailers. We approve!

Next Wednesday, Katy Perry will bring us her next triumph in masterful music video making with the video for her new single, Part of Me. Judging by the song’s popularity on the radio and the charts, we doubt she is going to disappoint with it!

Ch-ch-check out the video (above) for the sneak peek! So rad!  Be all that you can be, Katy!!!

If there’s one thing Lana Del Rey does well, it’s sultry. So, the languid singer gets all moody and retro in the just-released black and white clip for the Born To Die single “Blue Jeans.”

It’s classic Del Rey: set around a 1950s-looking swimming pool in the Hollywood Hills, full of long, loving shots of a far-away-eyed Lana in a throwback white one-piece swimsuit and almost completely devoid of the quick-cut editing techniques that mark most contemporary music videos.

Didn’t think Bruce Springsteen’s Wrecking Ball was angry or pro-Occupy enough? We’ve got an Al Jourgensen for that. The industrial metal icon is back and angrier than ever—Relapse, the first Ministry album in five years, drops on March 26 and features more of the same politicized thrash metal style Jourgensen has been mining tirelessly since 2000′s Houses Of The Molé. If song titles like “Kleptocracy”, “Git Up Get Out ‘N Vote” and “99 Percenters” aren’t enough of a clue what he’s pissed off about this time around, check out the latter’s brand new music video below.

As previously reported, The Flaming Lips will celebrate Record Store Day (April 21) this year by releasing an exclusive double-vinyl compilation of all their recent high profile collaborations. Not that it matters, but I know Wayne Coyne would be pleased to know that I am currently gnawing my way through a bag of gummy bears while I let the rest of you know that the compilation finally has a title and tracklisting.

According to Consequence Of Sound, The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends will be pressed on two multi-color 12″ vinyl discs—no two will look alike, the press release boasts proudly. In addition to previously released tracks recorded with Neon Indian, Lightning Bolt and Prefuse 73, the album features new collaborations with Bon Iver, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Nick Cave, Yoko Ono, Erykah Badu, and many more.

No official word on what will happen when you lick either of the two records, but having spoken to Wayne in person recently… I wouldn’t recommend it.
